How can I open a
camera?
To open a live
view camera, simply click on the camera tool and draw a rectangle on
the work area. It is the same operation for any drawing
tool.
MotionCAD will
initialize the first camera is finds and start feeding the live video to
the screen. As shown above the video control panel will be displayed
with the video.
Can
I have more then one camera?
Yes; simultanouse side, top and back views with model and lines overlayed
are possible.
If your computer has more then one camera connected, you
just draw them on the screen. MotionCAD will automatically select the
next available camera.
The other options are to save your camera/screen configurations
and just open them on command, or even mix this with powerful MotionCoach
templates to easily combine video of the student's last swing with the
virtual world instruction.
Can I switch from camera to
camera?
Easy; Just
drop down the camera selection box, you choose from the available
cameras. This list box normally shows the current
camera.
What
does the "Picture" button do?
Just like as camera the picture button will pop off a picture of
the student in the live video object.
Every time the picture button is pressed a number of things
occur: 1. A new picture is created. 2. The new
picture is placed to the Right of the last picture, so it's easy for
you and the student to see.
What
does the "Config" button do?
The config button will open a camera specific window to
configure the picture quality. The contents of the config window
depends on the camera type currently is use.
What does
the "Mirror" button control?
The
Mirror check box will cause the live video to do a left/rigth
hand flip. If you are comparing motions of people with different
hands then this option will match them.
What does
the "Flip" button control?
The Flip
check box will cause the video to rotate 90 degress.
Why? The format of video
picture is wider then it is tall. For golf the subject's
profile is tall and narrow. Normally to fit the subject in the video
you must zoom back and waste much of the picture. By flipping the camera
you better fit the subject into the video.
What does the
"Model Select" button control?
This button is
used to select the model swing to be overlayed with the live
video. You can choose any video in the library.
The model can be changed at any time, so if
mid way you want to change the lesson then re-click on the this
button to choose another model.
What does the
"Model Mirror" button control?
This button is
performs the same operation as the "Mirror" button, the model is
rigth/left flipped not the live video. This allows you to control
where the model or live video is MIrrored in class there is a hand
difference between model and student.
What
does the Zoom Selector control?
With this feature you
fit the model to the student
. This makes your
camera setup easy and fast because with this feature you can change the distance
between camera and student and then fix it in software. Also scale the swing models
to fit the student.
Also this feature allows mixing of video formats, if
your camera is DV and your model is compressed video only if your system
has this feature will you be able to handle the mixture.
What does the
"Full Blend" button control?
This button is
controls the overlayed strength of the model. The
default overlay strength is 50%, meaning the model is semi
transperent and equally visible with the student.
When the Full Blend button is
pressed down the model will completely over write the live video. This
mode is used when the model is a stick frame or model and student are
placed side by side.
What does the
Play Speed Slider control?
When this slider
is pushed to the left the model swing moves slower, when pushed
to the right, faster. This allows you to control the speed at which the
student attempts to follow the model's example.
What does the
Video Position Slider control?
This slider
indicates the currently viewed position of the model swing. If the video
is play looping the pointer will move to show the video position, or
the mouse can be used to drag the pointer (and video) to any
position.
With the slider
you can control the position of the video via the keyboard or scroll
